Major General Resources Ltd MGJ VSE March 19, 1997 Greenland Diamond Project: Heavy Mineral Sampling Update Glenn G. Shevchenko, President of Major General Resources Ltd., announces that due to extreme backlogs of heavy mineral sample processing at Canadian laboratories, sample concentrates from the Company's two Greenland diamond projects have been sent to a laboratory in South Africa. The Capetown, S.A. laboratory, Scientific Services (Pty) Ltd., specializes in diamond indicator mineral technology. Dr. John Gurney, founder and a current directors of this facility, is known world wide for his expertise in diamond exploration. The sample concentrates have recently arrived at the Capetown laboratory. The Company now anticipates the indicator mineral results in early April.
