My husband is also an anchovy-afficionado (shows up red, but my little Webster's is no help, and please, not the OED, I've got a back ache.)(Dictionary.com says afficionado is right.) He says that in college when he would eat pizza with his friends, if he ordered anchovies, the rest of the people sitting at the table would stand up and move to another table. When we were dating, there was a pizza place close to Tulane where we would get white pizza (no tomato sauce) with garlic and anchovies, and drink lots of beer. I think my taste for garlic and anchovies is why he married me, or maybe my taste for beer?
