Kevin: Regarding effect of IPO dilution, I think the following scenario will result:

1. Because of the in-and-out trading and hypervolatility of these new issues, buying them is akin to playing musical chairs. Investor have (or will) get tired of playing this losing game and, aside from daytraders, avoid them completely. There are simply too many to follow and most are already late to the game. When these stocks tank, they will not recover (as Rande Is has stated repeatedly).

2. For investors who want exposure to the internet sector, they will again gravitate to the market leaders and established leaders, the Yahoos, Doubleclick, Exodus, AtHome, etc. The days of finding that great internet company with thin float and small market cap and hitching onto it for a rocket ride are over.
