AMD is not announcing performance results for a very good reason. The chips they have been demonstrating have a one megabyte cache and that is not what the production units will have. That, combined with a super-fast SCSI hard-drive on the test machines is where all of this nonsense about the K6 getting with 10% of the Pentium II is coming from. I would venture to say the Pentium II will be at least 50% faster and it will ship in volume.
