Well, just testing the waters still, will actually
start using the real cash on Wed AM. Your summation
on fees is correct. Right now I pay about 115.00 for
CSW real time (which includes ASE, VSE also,dont know
why I have them I never traded them) . This does not
include LII for NASDAQ. I have done a comparison on
the fastest moving stocks on the TSE between the two
feeds. With out doubt the PC Quote system was
consistently ahead on the MD. min of 4-9 seconds.
Now if the execution is anything close to what they
say it will pay for difference of my spread that I
pay for CSW. I will be keeping the CSW for the TSE
as a back up redundant feed, you never know, will
eliminate the royalties for the ASE and the VSE.
However I do find that the MD for CSW is much easier
to read and follow with the fading and numbers are
much better, and although their news is still lagging
sometimes so far is better from what I can tell for
Canadian stocks from PCQuote,(in PC defense still
haven't fully looked into all the features) LII for
pc quote is much harder to follow , you really cant
take your eyes off of the windows. Obviously the
charting capabilities are far in advance that of CSW,
(the task now is how to get them set up, Not so easy
for my little pea brain).
I think the best feature that I can see is the ability to
be able to short much quicker. The fact that the data lags
less, and you can short without phoning in should really
improve profitability.
