Nice little plug, I have just read the following in our local rag, The New Zealand Herald.....................

IRIDIUM TAKES AXE TO PRICES.

The worlds only global mobile phone company, is trying to reactivate a stalled launch by slashing prices and simplifying its call charging.

Iridium has slashed international rates on its satellite service by between 50 and 65 per cent and reduced charging steps from between 9 and 15 to just one.

The network went live last November. But manufacturer delays and handsets that cost $6000 apiece, have dampened demand.

The Asia Pacific chief executive, Carlton Jennings, said their part of the business was doing well. Customers with the company for the past 6 or 7 months would receive a 10% rebate on previous bills in addition to the reductions coming into effect.

Ha Ha I say and what part of the business has Carlton Jennings got? He really wants to hang on to his job, I think most of I,s chief executives are pulling the wool over their shareholders. Merino wool to boot.

John.
