I hope you called your broker and straightened it out so you didn't have to make margin. I had the same problem with my USAT short at DLJ but called(and screamed) until the realized it and made the calls not effective. It took them weeks to straighten it out and the eqquity levels of my account were really screwed up but it didn't cost me anything and I made good money on the short. If you got burned I would do domething rightaway. Sounds like a huge faux-pas that wasn't yours
