I heard a rumor today that S3 was buying Dimd for $9.00 a share. Try $5 per share in nominal value of a crappy stock. This deal is laughable. Bill Schroeder is the newly-crowned king of value destruction. Under the terms of the agreement, S3 will acquire Diamond Multimedia Systems in a purchase transaction in exchange for S3 common stock. Diamond shareholders will receive 0.52 shares of S3 common stock for each share of Diamond stock. Charlie
