the play comes in from the origin of the jinx. The owner of the Sox sold Babe's contract to the Yanks to get money to finance a Broadway play. It was a musical 'No No Nanette' No need to worry how Roger is when the team is out of contention as the Yanks don't look to be out of contention any time soon. <g>
