DavidV,

try this

russell.com

if that does not work go to www.russell.com and poke around

they have the list of additions and deletions there

Keith Mullins at SalomonSmithBarney wrote a reasonably good piece on the Russell reconstitution called Tears.com. back in May. Claudia Mott at Prudential used to be the small cap quant expert but she is now semi retired now, so I don't know if her successor put out a piece.

I think the appeal of GNET to small cap money managers could be magnified (ie maybe they overweight the name at some point) since it is probably one of the few internet companies that actually earns money. Remember, passive money mangers will buy it and own it for the duration of its stay in the index (assuming it is added), active managers could choose to hold it for brief periods, which could make trading in the stock quite wild over the next 11 months or so leading up to the June 2000 rebalancing.

Keep in mind the Russell folks try to make a calculation of the float, and then come up with a float adjusted market cap and will likely add the stock if its float adjusted market cap is below their cut-off level (no stock larger than $1.4 billion or so). I am not quite sure where they draw the line, ie. is the Dryer brothers stock considered in the float? I don't think so but there are some gray areas.
