MNI,

I think the breakup of Yugoslavia was orchestrated
after the Soviet Union broke up. A bunch of small
divided nations are much more easily controlled than
one large one. Remember, the JNA (Yugoslavian Army)
was the 4th largest in Europe back in 1990. It is
nothing more than Imperialism, 1990's style. The
fact that Clinton claims to be interested in stopping
death and destruction is kind of odd given the fact
that he shipped Bosnia and Croatia 200 million dollars
worth of weapons back in 1995 (in violation of both
a UN and Congressional arms embargo). Don't you also
find it strange that Clinton claims that NATO was
only bombing military targets when the first few days
of the war saw the ICN Pharmaceutical plant, a cigar-
ette factory, and a Yugo automobile plant destroyed?
Clearly, one aim of the war was to make the Balkans
safe for GM, Marlboro Cigarettes, and Lilly Pharma-
ceuticals.
