GLOBIX UNVEILS FIRST PHASE OF EUROPEAN NETWORK EXPANSION
NEW YORK, Jun 22, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Globix Corporation (Nasdaq: GBIX), announced that it has begun the first phase of its European network expansion and will establish Points of Presence (POPs) in a number of Europe's business centers connected to the major European exchange points in each city.
Using dedicated circuits back to its London SuperPOP Internet Data Center, Globix intends to establish POPs in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Geneva, Vienna, Milan and Paris. The European POPs will enable Globix to provide clients with an enhanced level of service throughout Europe's major business centers. It is expected that in the fall of 1999, Globix will be able to offer Dedicated Access, Web Hosting and Co-location to clients in these cities.
