Kirk, looking at part of the post for which my DUH was directed

To me that suggested that I don't see the internet as an incredible life changing event for the world something I have never stated or implied because I believe it is all that and so stated. I perhaps get irritated because that deflects from the issue I thought we were discussing which was whether most or many internet stocks are good investments at this time. As I thought I pointed out railroads and automobiles telephones, television and radio were also life changing events in many cases creating an explosion in companies with exponentially increasing stock prices but in fact most companies eventually collapsed from extreme valuation and failure to become the one or two businesses that ended up succeeding. in the long run and without hindsight it was extremely difficult to know which would simply collapse in price for a while but eventually succeed.
