3Com is the undisputed world leader (market share) in the LAN thanks to its Ethernet technology and distribution network. Now could anyone on this thread help me with this interesting issue: Would 3Com's technological competitive advantage in the LAN segment of networking be an asset in the WAN segment dominated by Lucent? If so, how? What do you think about the border line between LAN and WAN? Fading? Any link to relevant material much appreciated! Thanks a lot to you GURUs, Jerome
