Note: This BOJ is boring me... how long are they going to play the currency game, and prevent my 3 week gold run. I say by Thursday they will stop.

As long as they can play it, judging by their past performance.

They have to increase demand and generally that occurs when people feel like they have little choice but to open up their pocketbooks and buy goods, fearing that putting off that decision will lead to paying a higher price for those goods in the future.

Making their yen weaker vis-a-vis the dollar is only good for ensuring they can continue to keep their people employed in export oriented industries.

But I don't think the dollar will be under any considerable pressure for just that reason. A weak dollar would be good for our economy and bad for Asia and Europe.

I also see your point about oil and gold. Good point.

Ooopss Tangible Asset Galleries just had one of their Y2K fear mongering commercials for rare gold coins on CNBC. They called them Y2K proof.... LOL

More contrarian ammunition. If they were so valuable, they wouldn't be selling them to the public.

Regards,

Ron
