Newbridge Gets LMDS Implementation Pact From Telenordia
MAIDENHEAD, U.K. -- Newbridge Networks Corp. (NN) said Swedish Internet service provider Telenordia AB selected it to implement a local multipoint distribution service, or LMDS, trial network.
The value of the pact wasn't disclosed.
In a news release, the company said service will begin this month, with full deployment throughout Sweden in the beginning of 2000, or as soon as Telenordia is granted a LMDS license.
Telenordia is equally owned by British Telecommunications PLC (BTY), Tele Danmark A/S (TLD) and Telenor ASA (Y.TLN).
