Tim: This certainly sounds like bad news for SYSF and their integrated SystemWizard/Voiceview combo, but the release is referring to Windows NT, and I think anyone using NT will already be on a compnay LAN, so Voiceview wouldn't be needed in that situation anyway (since you already have direct Internet access via the LAN without making a phone call)...that's not to say SystemWizard wouldn't still work, just that you wouldn't need the VoiceView piece of it if you were running NT.

I believe VoiceView's main attraction was the consumer side of things and SystemWizard/VoiceView combo has been endorsed by many from that part of the PC business (including HP & Packard-Bell)...look for Sony
to follow suit.

Bottom Line, I don't think VoiceView would be considered "obsolete technology" if the path between user and tech-support person is a plain old telephone line, which is going to be the case for the consumer end of things for quite awhile longer, IMO.

Yet I am concerned.
