slightly OT - Finally got my local cable modem dial up number (it's one-way sadly, so I need an upload dial-in). Speed is pretty good. The download is throttled (so they can make more money if you want more speed) which stinks. I'm about one of 2 or 3 people that are using it in this area currently, so I probably got a nice fat pipe all to myself. heh heh. We'll see how it gets when others start to sign up and eat into my bandwidth. (The guy told me to make sure I recommend it to my friends; even if I had any friends, I wouldn't because I don't feel like sharing! smirk) I'm frankly amazed that they offer it in this little town (which has a WalMart, but not much else). Anyways... Just wanted to make all you 56kers jealous. g llater, Tony B
