pms....re "used computers"

normally leases on computers have a $1 buy out at lease end, as they have no value...my thought to paul was perhaps corporate trade-ins against upgrade...the problem with it...takes qualified people to refurbish, must maintain inventory of cores, upsets a bto model as you don't know what must be replaced until you test the unit, and it dilutes the new computer market....much as leasing did to the luxury car market...auto manufacturers in order to maintain order in the market with high end cars coming off lease, buy them back and certify them with warranty, but this is done at the dealer level...it has hurt new car pricing.....dell not a dealer, but a manufacturer...who will they compete against?? if they are going to be "ichi ban" pc maker, then they hurt themselves.....it can be a disaster.......breaks the dell "model".... think it through, every three years all dell off lease computers returning....wowzers!
