There is too much concern being placed on this auction model. In the CNBC interview, MD only went into it because he was asked about a comment he made off hand in the morning. So it got expanded in response to a question, but he made the point that it was just something they were experimenting with. The question is do they plan to sell other things besides reconditioned Dells by auction. MD seems attracted to selling via the internet and specifically what he sells may be irrelevant. I must say MD is quite confident of what he is doing and Griffith was not able to force him into the view that PCs have become a commodity. David S.
