lindy - i have noticed one thing in common among all the folks that "really don't care" about technical analysis. that is - they really don't know about technical analysis. and, of course, many of the folks that really don't know about technical analysis have relied on a tried and true human behavioral characteristic: criticize what you don't know about.

i remember when you appeared on the qcom thread lindy - you bought qcom back in late march/early april when it made it's move. pretty good timing if you ask me.

i just wish everyone would quit knocking technical analysis. i employ it in my own way and don't agree with everyone's "analysis" and i frown considerably on using technical analysis as a predictive tool. i really hate seeing those long-winded predictions about the next month's stock action.

there are representatives on this thread from many different investing/speculating backgrounds. they all have something to offer. thread participants should not be subjected to "negative feedback" if they have participated in good faith. maybe the "shut-up-ers" would learn something if they'd, well, shut-up.

Jim, I think the reason you are getting negative feed back from us on TA is because we really don't care. We know the stock will go up and down though out the month and year. We only care about where it will end up. I have learned that I can't time a stock worth a damn, so I don't even try.
