Bill, i had a roughly similar projection(actually a bit lower) worked out for the Dow based on the larger chart pattern. i have to admit that the Dow has so far been unable to penetrate the trendline off it's all time high, so the 55 day rule has not yet been negated by the market's action. also the ratio of bullish to bearish advisors remains well inside the danger zone. the transportation index isn't acting too well either... we'll see what reaction the FOMC meeting brings, but for the 1,000 pt. decline this week, the market will have to hurry up a bit. regards, hb
