Plus there was a huge performance gap between initial mendocino parts and PII speed grades.

Once the 500Mhz Celeron comes out next month they will have almost identically performing chips from Intel with a $400 difference in ASP.

IT managers may be dumb and stupid and won't buy AMD but they will figure out what a great deal the celery is vs PIII and even the Culatermine.
