The buyout rumors have been justified. This company is supremely well-poised to be a major recipient of sustained growth from their e-commerce positioning. They have quietly been overcoming the inertia of starting out in a new arena. They have put in the tapas and have achieved a Coke-like ubiquity. Neither the scale of the Internet nor pervasiveness of e-transactions has been sufficient to enable the company to realize its potential. Also, the added value of transaction data is not yet adequately recognized. These circumstances are rapidly changing. The Net is growing up to OMKT. I quote INTC's comments that by the end of '99 90% of their transactions will be over the 'Net. It takes a robust transaction system to handle a major entrance of major corporations now being forced to get the economies of scale available from Net commerce. OMKT has it. When OMKT breaks even the expected revenue momentum and earnings visibility leveraged by a tried-and-true product should make it a dynamic performer. Once this occurs, within 18 months I believe the company will sell for $80/shr.
