scott...really now...what is dell's business "vision"? a bit of this, a bit of that....how much profit can a company whose ceo claims will be $130b in revenues generate from auctions....???? msd has a track record in pc manufacturing, based on an excellent implementation of a bto/jit/60's toyota kanban model....you can't apply these efficiencies in other then manufacturing.......i would feel better if he had a vision of servers and storage and hand held appliances and equipment that dell would manufacture to be used as the "backbone" of the internet, to build the e-commerce model for others...instead of selling old white boxes, refurbished by technicians that could be building storage....weren't you the one who mentioned a while back how dell would shortly decimate emc??...focus my friend, focus...companies don't become the largest in the world with consumer auctions as their vision....
