1. Why did Bell Atlantic not make a significant offer for Airtouch?
2. Why did British Telecom not make an offer for Airtouch in an effort to expand their wirless properties in euorpe?
3. Why did MCI decide to not make a bid?
4. Why did Mannesmann not make an attempt for Airtouch?
5. What were these other telecoms thinking strategically?
6. Why after a careful review of the deal did another telecom not make a bid to break up this powerhouse?
7. Why did these companies let Vodafone-Airtouch become a potential global wireless powerhouse unimpeded?
8. Where was Bellsouth? (Probably asleep)

I am surprised that no other telecom decided to break up this deal by making an offer for Airtouch preventing this powerful combination of companies. Their loss looks like my / our gain.
