Dell is extremely focused on these products. Look at their product offerings, R&D spending growth, and market share gains in this segment over the last 2-3 years. Servers became a very high priority for Dell back in 1994, they have made significant investments and have reaped the rewards. Had they not, they would likely be out of business. Compare features and pricing to their competitors and you'll see why they are growing fastest in this segment. Look at workstations too. Re: who are they gonna follow next????? Dell follows Intel and Microsoft. I don't see that changing anytime soon. Re: at some point a "great" company has to be a leader and innovator...or they cannot remain great...correct me if i'm wrong...know any great companies that never led????? You aren't wrong. Dell is an innovator, it's just that they don't focus on product innovation as much as business process innovation. And lo and behold, to my surprise, even after all that's been learned about how technology transmorgifies every 9 months, this is where companies who are in positions like Dell and Compaq, should focus much of their innovative efforts. Who makes all the money... the artist or the record company? MEATHEAD
