Hail, James--when it comes to his time, I suppose Ben has to limit his posting to one board or another. For whatever reason, Raging Bull gets his attention now.
I want to repost this news to remind people that this far away news of February will soon come to fruition:
>>TULSA, Okla.Feb. 22, 1999. In a statement released today, Heartsoft, Inc. (OTC BB:HTSF - news) acknowledged that the company is seeking to enlist the support of a major Internet company to fast-track the release and sale of its new secure Internet browser for children.
Responding to numerous media inquiries resulting from the company's announcement last week that it had reached an agreement with Cytware Corp of Ft. Worth, Texas, to license and sell the Kids Internet World Explorer, the company acknowledged that it is looking to partner with a yet, undisclosed Web publisher with substantial experience in publishing Internet-based software products.
In a brief statement, Heartsoft Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Benjamin P. Shell said, ''Heartsoft is fully prepared to publish and distribute the Kids Internet World Explorer (KIWE). However, everyone who has seen the product's beta version, instantly sees KIWE's universal appeal to every child, parent, and teacher in the U.S with Internet access. By partnering with a major Internet player, we will be able to hasten the product's world-wide introduction.''
Further details regarding potential alliances were not available.
In a news release on Friday, February 19, 1999, Heartsoft said that it would position the Kids Internet World Explorer as a secure alternative to Microsoft's Internet Explorer (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) and Netscape Navigator (Nasdaq:NSCP - news).
As part of the KIWE licensing agreement, the company plans to pursue distribution agreements with OEM partners such as Dell Computer Corp. (Nasdaq:DELL - news), Apple Computer, Inc. (Nasdaq:AAPL - news), Compaq Computer Corp. (NYSE:CPQ - news), and Gateway (NYSE:GTW - news). The agreement also allows the company to market KIWE internationally. <<
Only a matter of weeks now, folks...three, five, six...does it matter? WELL worth waiting for!!
