Ref: $1000 personal challengeto Baron's et al. (#2070).
Mgsam, I intend to post on AOL also. Just hate to type a long note.
Yes, I have done my research. Although I am just an individual investor and no expert, I will put my research and knowledge about the companies I invest in against any of the Wises or self-proclaimed experts from Baron's, WSJ, Fortune, CNBC, etc.
Most of these folks are very shallow, considering what they are doing for a living. That's why studies after studies have shown that picking stocks by throwing darts consistently outperformed recommendations from many of these folks.
More and more people are realizing this, especially since AOL and internet forums became available. Baron's, WSJ, Fortune, CNBC, etc. are feeling very threatened by the Fools and at what is going on in interactive forums such as this one. The realization that they may soon be dethroned -- as the main source of information, the voices of wisdom, and unchallenged experts everyone look up to -- is driving these folks into a mode like a cornered vicious and scared animal. They are lashing out at anything that they see as a threat or a symbolic threat.
AOL MF, this forum, and IOMG represent what the folks in the media fear the most: An abrupt change in paradigm where they are no longer kings, and everyone can challenge and analyze what they said in front of the whole world. That's why they have been mercilessly and unrelentingly attacking IOMG with no justifiable basis and lots of misinformation.
(Misinformation: now this is one expertise that everyone know many in the media posses.) Take care. |
