Then why is it in Florida, where citizens can carry concealed weapons, the crime rate has dropped so sharply? The major news media doesn't like to mention that very often.

Also, cities are different than the countryside. Cities are artificial and the people adopt artificial lifestyles. Gun control is not natural outside of major metropolitan areas.

Finally, if millions of Americans are armed -- and know how to use their weapons -- it keeps governments in check. A good thing. In a truly free society, responsible individuals must have the right to own and bear arms.
