Sytron, Inc. Subsidiary Awarded Orders in Excess of $1 Million
BROOMFIELD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1999--Sytron, Inc. (OTC BB: SITR) announced today that one of its subsidiaries, Sytron Systems Group, Inc., has received two orders totaling in excess of $1 million for their correctional systems products.
The projects include the South West County Justice Center in Southern California and the Multnomah County Detention Center in Portland, Oregon.
The contract for Southwest County will include providing more than 10 computer workstations and a complete Distributed Intelligence Access Control System (DIACS) to control the doors, intercoms, closed circuit television and other security devices throughout the facility. The project will upgrade a portion of the existing facility and expand to a new section of the facility presently under construction. Sytron Systems Group, Inc. will provide the software and control systems to MASK Systems, Inc., a California-based integrator which specializes in correctional projects.
The Multnomah County project also includes DIACS equipment to be provided under an upgrade project for the facility. The system will be controlled through hard panels with switches and lights rather than with the Touch Screen Graphics included in South West County. The high rise facility will be upgraded over the next 16 months. Sytron Systems Group, Inc. will be working under the prime contractor to the County, EMSS-Norment Industries, a subsidiary of Compudyne (CDCY), which specializes in the correctional marketplace.
