I just found the thread and read all the messages. Great thread! I've been a believer in Linux for quite some time now and can't wait for RHAT to start trading. No one has yet mentioned the "Halloween Document". A leaked and candid internal Microsoft Memorandum that's been annotated by an Open Source pundit. A nice (though lengthy) read that may shed some light on a number of relevant subjects. It talks about the Open Source community's methodology, mentality, how it works, strengths and weaknesses.
