The current round of media speculation about Apple's CPU efforts says more about the company's unique position in the computer industry than it does about the actual health of its hardware operation. This week's MSNBC story that Apple may be rethinking its consumer-notebook strategy caps a string of reports casting doubt on the company's ability to cleave to the comeback trail. With each perceived deviation from the hardware road map laid out by interim CEO Steve Jobs, industry observers have been quick to recall Apple's years of QA gaffes, disastrous misreading of demand and loss of public confidence. from: macweek.zdnet.com Maybe Amilio wasn't so bad after all. It takes some time to see the results of reorganization. Methinks perhaps Jobs got the glory for some of Amilio's work.
