Mary, sorry, I missed the interview. But I'm not surprised by Griffith's behavior. CNBC is has been known to push agenda's.

I agree that Michael Dell is one of the best businessman of our time. He probably understands the value of Kanban and JIT better than any other American CEO. Compaq is really struggling to match his models of manufacturability and responsiveness to customers. And I believe he is one of the only major PC companies still sticking to a single source supplier for the microprocessor. A gutsy strategy, especially in today's environment of "contingency planning", "risk management" etc. He must have a strong belief that Intel will continue to provide him with quality products, delivered on time, with minimum disruption to his cycle times. That spells confidence with a capital C. And why Intel is such a premier corporation.
