Robert, we bombed the Serbian civilian infrastructure, and too many civilians, not to mention the Chinese Embassy and a house or two in Sofia, Bulgaria, in order to get an agreement very similar to the one that the Serbs were willing to sign in the first place, because of stupid intransigence. If you were following the thread, you would see that I was pro- intervention, and that I expected an agreement to be signed. Several others who have criticized this operation were at least ambivalent about intervention, or in favor of it, and even more ( such as JBL), expected an agreement all along, so it is wrong to say that all of us who criticized the President were against helping the Albanians, or that we didn't expect the bombing to "result" in an agreement...It is also wrong to say that only conservatives and Republicans have criticized the operation, when Jimmy Carter, the "Nation" editorialists, and others in the Democratic and/or Leftist camp have done so...
