Grant,

I too have not posted on this thread for months now. I have decided not to even attempt to contribute my thoughts given the totally unproductive and antagonistic posts that have taken over this thread.

I will say that I feel that the unrelenting needling and prodding by Go North reminds me of a sociopathic child with a stick at a zoo. He/she continually is poking at the animals in the zoo and laughing because they are being driven into a frenzy and they can't touch him/her. His/her posts contribute a minuscule amount of value relative to their sheer volume.

I am convinced that this person is either on a salary or some sort of piece work arrangement related to their posts on this thread. His / her employer is fully aware of the impact that investor enthusiasm can have on share prices. This investor (and chat line) enthusiasm has been mentioned as a factor in the rise of the share price in the National Post, Globe & Mail, and I believe also in the Wall Street Journal, among others. So, how do you kill off that enthusiasm? You smoother it with the type of posts that he / she has produced.

I like to believe that I have always welcomed a well reasoned debate both Pro and Con related to a company's stock valuation. But I have long ago given up trying to do this with respect to this thread - and with this person in particular. I have no desire to respond to them now or in the future.

That said, I also am disgusted by the responses that Go North has been successful at prodding from several of the other contributors on the thread. No matter how good this person is at antagonizing others, some of the responses he / she has received has been disgusting. The response to others who have raised concerns over the possible over exuberance of the people posting has at times been uncalled for. A company and its investors can be hurt just as badly by people hyping its shares as can those who bash it down.

I have both made and lost money investing in this stock. Thankfully, I have made more than I have lost. I firmly believe that the company has some issues to deal with in order to improve its valuations. I feel that should Bid.Com announce a strategic alliance with one of the larger firms, or shows a decidedly strong increase in revenues with their next Q results, and/or receives an analyst coverage - then this stock will move strongly upward. If none of these happen, then in my opinion, the stock will continue to drift lower. That said, I still hold call options on this company.

I understand the position that the management of Silicon Investor is in when being asked to address the ills of this thread. However I am disappointed that they have not acted to seek a resolution to it. In my opinion, an ignore feature would be a good addition to this discussion site. It would allow readers to screen out the persistent bashers as well as the over exuberant promoters.

This used to be a good thread where people were eager to share their views and research. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case, and until this issue is resolved I will refrain from posting on it.
