Allied Research's Subsidiary Receives Contracts for $1M in Support Services
VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1999--Allied Research Corporation, (AMEX:ALR), a diversified defense and commercial electronic security firm, announced today that its subsidiary, Barnes & Reinecke, Inc., based in Arlington Heights, IL, was awarded several contracts from the U. S. Army, Rock Island, Illinois and Oshkosh Truck Company totaling $1 million in new awards. The contracts include M109 upgrade kits for Portugal under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program and support work for Oshkosh Truck Company integrated logistic support. This follows $44 million in contracts announced to other Allied Research Corporation subsidiaries in early June 1999 for ammunition and electronic products.
Barnes & Reinecke, Inc., is an innovative firm with design, engineering, production and logistical services using the latest computer-aided design and manufacturing tools. BRI is a leader in systems technical support for United States Army combat equipment.
