Gringo,

Yes, Fox Plus disconnects automatically after a period of inactivity, and seems to do so regardless of settings in preferences. I've tried them all for nearly two years, no luck. Seems to disconnect me after about 20 minutes no matter what I set. Fido can't explain it, I don't think the techs there understand this aspect of the software, nor do I believe they really care about it. I've never gotten a good answer from them on it. So, I just live with it, but it's not a good thing for anyone who's doing quick-quick-style daytrading. Worse part of it is that you don't even realize you're disconnected...there's no warning or indication...you just figure it out when nothing works. Usually it's easy to log back on, but that's no way to daytrade, imho.

Otherwise, I like Fox for other types of trades, and especially because it's much quicker than the website and allows easy trading of multiple accounts (e.g., IRA's and margin accounts).

Bill
