Steve - RE: "I think today's conference will be to announce that the launch has been delayed for a large OEM"

I wonder how the Market would receive info like that. The way I see it, as long as there is nothing wrong with the Athlon itself, no problems with making the Athlon, and no delays with the Athlon infrastructure, the delaying for an OEM shouldn't matter because AMD is still shipping parts and getting paid for them. I would love for AMD to say today the three things I just said in that sentence. However, if the systems are being introduced at a later time from launch, AMD will have to sell the chips at the price they would sell them for when the systems come out, one month later and at a lower price. That may explain the extremely low prices Forbes posted yesterday, if the numbers are legit. That Forbes article aldo said a K6-III 475 has been announced but Toni Beckham said that such a chip has not been introduced.
