Web, a bit further speculation. If this is for real and they at least get a separate independent VALUATION of the MRV division (without actually selling), this is also a positive for the market perception of the entire value of MRVC. If they DO sell in that price range (which seems reasonable to me), without doing ANYTHING else, just that $700 million in cash on the balance sheet ($600 million + the 100 million they have) would represent about $26 per share. Anyway you slice it this is a short term positive. This could be VERY interesting. I still don't like it from a long term perspective though. Perhaps just a separate independent valuation is all they are really after?
