AMPD (Nasdaq) has been as high as 3 3/16 this month and is now sitting around 2.00. I am still working on it but so far so good.
Here is some info...profile, add'l releases and SEC filings avail at Yahoo. I like this situation because of the orders already placed and due to ship and the prototype release on 5/3...plus we have the internet wireless access division on 5/20. This sector is very much in favor now and I believe AMPD will be able to capitalize on the monies spent in their sector of the communications niche going forward. Some of that is already demonstrated in the press releases. Also note the company has enough bucks for the time being due to a placement done in March which was done BEFORE the run up to 4.50 in April. Shares outstanding now 5.67m. There is considerable TLCF here, one legal dating back to 1997, no pref, and SE as of last 10-q was $2m. Backlog and open orders at year end 1998 totalled $7m. This stock tends to move on slight pressure either way...closed Fri 6/18 was 2 3/16, was at 3 3/16 10 trading days ago, 52wh 4.56 back in April.
Ist qtr rev was $655k vs $321k and 1st qtr loss was ($299k) vs ($426k). The company's 10-k gives an excellent overview of the wireless sector and their strategy and products for that sector. Makes good reading even if you are not interested in this stock. Wireless is here and it is only going to get bigger and bigger. I keep a separate list of wireless companies and most of them seem to be doing very well...with some of the activity explosive. I hope to talk to the company this week and see how things are going...I think there is considerable potential here.
