JFD, RE: Settlement talks.

The CNBC interview with Allan Murray of WSJ yesterday -- he had met with MSFT lawyers who said no comment to settlement talks. The indication i got from him was that MSFT knows the damage has already been done and there is less incentive to settle now. I do see a reason for MSFT to settle---that is Windows2000's big splash will be clouded by the Windows98 case. As far as I know Windows2k is not targetted simply because there are strong alternatives.

If this witness can pull through, we would have a quick settlement. I just can't imagine him screwing up since most of his points have to do with what is happening today. This story below has some interesting points. As i was saying earlier, Boies did not have anything intelligent to say.
