Tony, OTOT NBA, RE: OK % wise not notable, but he's hitting almost all the shots NY has needed to keep from being buried, IMO. All clutch. And, he is a guard, so he doesn't get the benefit of tap-ins and dunks like the Duncans and Robinsons. Some of Michael Jordan's typical great games were like 15 for 35 and a ton of foul shots.

Many guards have done far better in the playoffs; the most vivid in my mind is Jerry West's performance in LA's loss to the Knick's in the early 70's, '71 I believe. That was lighting it up.

As far as comparing Houston's performance to Jordan, yes, Jordan was 15 for 35 in game 6 last year, but that was one of his poorer shooting games in the playoffs. He averaged better than 46% from the field during the playoffs. In addition, he averaged 32.4 pts for last year's playoffs. Houston, on the other hand, has had only one great game in the Finals thus far, Game 3. In Games 1 and 2, he only had 19 points. His team needed much more scoring in those two games and he couldn't come through.

Game four tonight.

And the last game on Friday night.<g>
