In addition to 12 CD ROM titles slated for distribution beginning this year, TDK will publish a full range of Sound Source
Interactive Playstation titles and distribute them throughout Europe, Australia and Japan. Exact terms of the agreement remain
confidential, but TDK will finance a major portion of product development with titles expected to ship beginning in summer
2000.
As a major multinational manufacturer of electronic components and recording media, TDK commands approximately 15
percent of the European CD-R market, 45 percent of the audiocassette market, 21 percent of the VHS cassette market and
38 percent VHS-C market and 21 percent of the 8mm market. Its European distribution covers the channels including Hyper
markets, supermarkets, record/video stores, electronics stores, department stores, duty free stores, kiosks, bookstores and
others, throughout Europe. |
