Dear Sonki: I dont remember for sure but think it was close to 10 BILLION. So far as I am concerned AltaVista was the prize. To sell it for 2-3 Billion of inflated stock doesnt seem too bright to me. I would prefer the IPO if I were running things. Luckily I do not have a large position in this stock so no sweat to me either way. Just hate stupidity thats all. JDN
