If Qwest's stock appreciates at their new claimed growth rate of
15%, it will take 2.6yrs for the stock to appreciate from its current value of $32.69 to the $47 share value that Bell South paid for it. If that pleases you, I'm happy for you!

In JJC's commentary, he claimed that he still made a factor of two on his Qwest investment. That would mean that he bought it quite some time ago. So, I wouldn't brush off his comments so quickly based on the belief that he is a short term trader. Actually, his comments and Seymore's article in today's TSC make a lot of sense. In my view, Nacchio has displayed an arrogant disregard for Qwest's stockholders.
