I have been using Fidelity web site day trading for a
few weeks now. From my experience, it's a real piece of
shit! It is clear from the design of their system, they
don't understand the daytrading business.

1) After you made a number of trades, it takes forever
to update the orders page. As a result, it becomes
impossible to find out whether the trade has gone thru
in a timely fashon.

2) When my market orders don't get executed in 5 minutes, I
called in to ask what's going on. The reps say it's normal.
I often ended up cancelling my market orders from the web.
At least Datek gives me a free trade if it takes long than
a minute.

3) It's just totally ridiculous that the web site logs you
out after 30 or so minutes.
