I have high expectations too. But it looks to me when one party wins the election the only thing the other party spends their time on is trying to undo the people's choice.
And this is true for Reagan (Iran/contra ), Bush (Iran/Contra),
Carter (Bert Lance), even Johnson (Billie Sol Estes).

As far as the independent prosecutor law goes, I think it is unconstitutional and the unlimited time and money thing is an invitation to extemism.
I voted for Reagan the second time and even though he wasn't my first chioce I didn't demonize him. All politicians especially the Presidents now that the press is all over them get backed into corners and have to stonewall.

What Clinton did with Monica in the oval office was extremely disappointing to me but Ireally wish it could have been handled better and that all those sordid details were not public.
Once he was in the corner, what was he going to do? Tell all those details? He had to hope it died away and that he wouldn't get caught.
Haven't you ever done something you were glad to get away with and promised yourself you would never do it again.
I am fascinated by the hatred which many express towards the CLintons.
They haven't done anything that wrong or anything way outside normal practices.
And remember D"amato did the same thing with his Ira that someone did for Hillary with the cattle futures. Once you get into that high power club these things are done for you and they are not unusual.
