Hmmm. Bullish sentiment so strong it can ignore interest rates. The reasoning goes, "a few interest rate increases won't impact profitability, so my companies are impervious". I would submit then that a little drink never hurt anyone and that a few interest rate increases won't be enough. It will take a few more. The point is that profitability must be impacted. A little drink won't effect you if you're already drunk.

Then there's the engineering of the soft landing. It boggles the mind that economists would trot this clownery out as a way to stop anything. It has never worked in an environment of rising inflation. Greenspan and the boys are practically in a panic as to what to do. They know that in order to get the propensity to inflate under control it will take more than a few drinks. They are over a barrel because they know that to expect a few more will cause the stock market to crash. Sure sounds like a great circumstance under which to own stocks. I know, it's climbing the wall of worry, eh?
