W&W alert: Loral (LOR) news and W&W nomination update: Today the management of Loral and Globalstar put in place financing for the completion of the G* system. Service is scheduled to begin in Sept. Anyone here interested (and those who follow the Q might be) should check out the Si Loral and Globalstar threads for details. Globalstar at long last showed slight signs of life. Loral moved up modestly - at least not down as usual. Clearly, Loral is not a gorilla, but could well be the king in satellite communication space - and is headed toward being a prince with attitude in calendar 2000 if not before. G* has major satellite launches scheduled in the next couple of months to get the system into initial operation by Sept. Again, not for many, but perhaps an adventurous few. Cha2
